ausbiz: The US nears the "x-date"

As the US gets closer to the so-called "x-date", when, according to the US Treasury, it will run out of money to fund the Government and repay its debt, markets are becoming increasingly wary that a deal to lift the debt ceiling may not get done in time. In his latest interview with ausbiz, Peter Dragicevich, APAC Currency Strategist at Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, says, "It ought to be a "mechanical process", however, the increasingly fraught nature of US politics means the chance of default is higher."
